5. Where your data is stored

Trivly’s backend uses Firebase, which stores data in Google’s data centres. Firebase Authentication and Firestore data are stored in regional data centres (Trivly currently uses the EU multi-region for primary storage, with replication for availability).

If you access Trivly from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and stored in countries that have different data protection laws. By using Trivly, you consent to this transfer.

If you live in California, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal data we collect and to opt out of any “sale” of personal data. We do not sell personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, email iliev.nick007@gmail.com.

8. Security

All data transmitted between the Trivly app and our backend is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Data at rest in Firebase is encrypted using Google’s standard at-rest encryption.

Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt or scrypt, managed by Firebase Authentication) and we never see your plaintext password.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs, we will notify affected users via email within 72 hours of becoming aware.

9. Children’s privacy

Trivly is rated for ages 13 and over and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us at iliev.nick007@gmail.com and we will delete the account.

Trivly does not participate in Google’s Designed for Families programme.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Significant changes will be announced in the app and (where required by law) by email.

Continued use of Trivly after a policy update means you accept the changes. If you don’t agree with a change, you can delete your account at any time.
